Toy Machine A-Stone And The Flip

Image Description Austin kicks off the newest installment of extra footage that didn't make the cut, or got cut, rather, over at Suffer The Scope it or be a loser.

The footage was great, Austin is always amazing and Josh's line with the bail at the end was sweet. That footage really made my day.

Hey kevin
Did you go to any type of film school? Would you recomend film school for somone who wanted to start a career in film?
Posted By: Mike Hunt on January 12th, 2007 at 11:43AM PST
Kevin might just bail out on Toy Machine to go to film school... Interesting question! Lets see how he responds...

Austin has such a quick flip. He is already catching it, and will float the rest of the way. I want to bone his kick-flip.

I need to get a job.
Maybe I'll start with a shower.

I remember when Kevs got his first camera. No film school for him (yet). Just lots & lots of video viewing, movie watching & general skatenerding. He once watched over 300 movies in one summer.

I thought Johnny was straight edge until I saw him smoking a cigarette and drinking.

Alot of the stuff Austin pulls is really mediocre. I know there is the whole "style" or "steez" aspect of it all, but still. Whatever, I guess skating isn't all about competition so I'm not going to compare. But that kickflip over the gap has been killed by many other previous tricks. Probably why it didn't make the cut. I'm really hyped on Matt Bennett's 50-50 on that hubba, that was sick, that should have made the part.

Ed, if Kevin does take off to film school I could take over his job and film for you, but I would do it for free.
Just give me decks every once and a while and mabey a little food, what do you think.

A little school never hurt anyone. Except Catholic school. Those nuns can really smack. I've never heard of Catholic film school though.

I boned Austin's kickflip once. It gave me herpes. That must be because it gets around. OOOOHHH! ya'll know that was funny.

I didn't go to film school but the idea is interesting to me. Very interested in aspects of cinematography.
Dillian needs to chill on that 'tude. These are clips taken from the bin of non-usage and given to you for nerd-out viewing pleasure. The kickflip was simple and well done, sometimes that's all a trick needs.
Posted By: Kevs on January 13th, 2007 at 01:33AM PST
yeah, sometimes less is more, who cares if austin is just kickfliping it, we dont need a nollie bigspin flip or switch fs flip from him kickflip is just as good
Posted By: joey on January 13th, 2007 at 08:57AM PST
what about austins huge ollie, or varial heelflip, half couldnt do that stuff as clean as austins.
Posted By: Emerica on January 13th, 2007 at 11:12AM PST
fuck whoever says austin is "mediocre", seriously, that guy has fucking steez, i could watch him ollie off a curb and be hyped, keep skating what you want to skate austin, we love you!

Its either a backside 180 or a straight forward one.
Then you look at the board which tells you it's srtaight.
Monday I'm gonna buy Suffer the Joy.
I watched it today at a shop that had a copy, which I got to borrow.
I returned it right after I watched it.
Ashley and Barr makes me so straight.
Wonder if I'll find any hidden clips?
Anyway it was good.
Good song on Matt Bennett's part.
And good graphics as well.
