Trip to SF for the BUST or BAIL contest: Day 1

Directly after Nick's pro party, the dudes possed up and drove up to San Francisco for the Bust or Bail contest. They showed up on Corey Duffel's porch and said, 'We're staying here.' They were just in time for a tea party he was having. What luck. Matt B called the hammock. They went skating and ran into some serious Loyal Pawnage. The brainwashing is getting through! Johnny skates some thing while Nick and Matt relax. Then Matt decided to roll up to the thing and did something shocking to J-Lay. It was time for some fro-gurt. Then they hit the BUST or BAIL comp. See the results on Thrasher.com Matt B signs an autograph, yeah, he gives them out for free, unlike Sheckler who charges 5 bucks per 'graf. Sinclair bought Matt B one size triple-D breast implant to suck on. But seriously, its important to stay hydrated when you are out skating. And sunblock would be a good idea too. Matt B was bogarting the implant all day and Nick started giving him the stink-eye After a full day of ripping they guys decided to retire to a skatepark for some more fun into the night. Whatever was going on, Matt B is down. (See Matt B's 6-page interview in the new Transworld!!!)

Angel's surprise going pro party photos

We held a surprise going pro party for Angel in Denver, CO and our rep out there had the pics to prove it. Angel had no idea but all his friends from Colorado were there to surprise him. ...Meanwhile back at the homestead. Which is across the street from the bar where the party was hosted Angel smokes one last cigarette as a amateur skateboarder. Now he will be smoking as a professional. Now he is brought to the location where he will be meeting the rest of his friends for the usual Thursday night gathering... Where his pro model boards were hanging! Surprise Angel you are now Pro! Chicks love pros! Do take notice of the shirt changes going on... Goodnight Denver...its a wrap.

Nick Trapasso Surprise Pro Party: Mega-post

Matt B and the guys try to find the place... Nick sleeps like a baby with no idea what awaited him. He thought it was a run-of-the-mill shop appearance, but little did he know Mike Sinclair had arranged a mega-sweet 'blessed' going pro party! A naked lady walked out and presented Nick with his pro board adorned with all sorts of cooking paraphenalia: A bag of rare Oregano, some imported cooking Sherry, and a few beers. PHOTO KEY (the difference between where Nick looks, and the dudes with cameras) (Nick loves Oregano) But then Grif moved in for a snake... He got that sweet bag of Oregano! He will be cooking a hearty pasta sauce this weekend. NAKED HUG! Oh yeah, NIck's mom was there? It was also a Pinata Party! Nick swings at the Pinata with his first pro board... How to shifty flip in front of fans starring...

Abdias Rivera! This was shot at last years Pheonix Am and he was doing these in his runs every try. Heres the part that you really don't want to mess up. Picture the crowd in their underwear and imagine the fire hydrant being a small pebble. Pop your board. Stay focused and keep the board under you. But remember to flick the shit out of it. And pretend you're doing a frontside flip but like only a baby frontside flip because you only need to rotate it 90 degrees since its a shifty. Think light as a feather and rotate those hips. Once you get this high try not to just fall straight down onto the fire hydrant on your baby maker. Prepare to land and not fall. Also slowly start rotating it back to straight. Don't land 90 or else its just gonna be like a stupid flip or something. I don't even know what to call that. Land straight as a arrow and roll away screaming Yes Yes Yes. Then throw your hands up and start the YMCA celebration dance and hope the crowd follows...

how to tail drop starring Gareth Stehr

I found this sequence of Gareth that hadn't been used for anything so I figured what better way than to post a instructional trick tip. These are my words not his. I'm just using him as my stunt dummy. Step 1: Climb onto the highest possible structure you can. Hopefully it's high enough where you can't even see the bottom where you're supposed to land. Step 2: Get in tail drop posistion or dump truck or nosepick or handstand or criss cross applesauce or whatever you feel comfortable jumping from onto a skateboard. Step 3: This is actually part of step 2 but it's so important that I'm highlighting it and including it in it's own step. Point to your friend at the bottom and say "this is for chicks" or "get money" or "pirate life" or "gangster life" or whatever you feel comfortable getting into at that moment in time. Step 4: Go for it. Step 5: Don't think about falling. Think about landing. Think happy thoughts... Step 6: Be very thankful that you didn't completely mess this up! Suck up the impact and party down onto safe grounds to celebrate. Step 7: Make sure all your friends filmed it. Go straight home and edit it to a sweet song and send it in for sponsorship opportunities.

RVCA signing at Active Norco: Coverage from above

Jimmy, the RVCA TM drove us there. As soon as we left he shouted 'slut!', and pointed at this lady. That is pretty normal here in the OC, but we were off to the IE. See Jimmy's RVCA Skate Blog for bonus coverage. Josh and Ed signing away. Nobody got their body signed, I guess we are not 'rock-starry' enough. Austin was ready for some body parts, Josh, not so much. One kid had some Small ass wheels, and Raymond was gonna give him a free pair, but took off and left the kid hanging. Leo is just as handsome as Austin and Josh... Spanky showed up too! That girl in the background was moving in for the kill. She wanted to go out with him, but all she ended up with was this guy. Either way Spanky gets rad. These kids I have seen before. Their fro's are getting sweet. Erica, Active's organizer extraordinaire, was there to oversee the festivities. I know you Toy Website Lurkers LOVE Active Erica so I tried to get some shots for you, but she is shy. This kid made a home-made Toy Hat, hello lawsuit! Here is a close up. Just for the fans... I found Jimmy and Leo in the swimsuit section getting weird. The age group that the Toy team has been attracting keeps getting younger. Our 'Hello Kitty' series is coming out next month. Each board comes with a big red lollipop?

Same Day, Different Shit

Came up on a JLay mission. He was already shredding when we arrived. A little mangy dog went nuts on us as we entered the school. Look what it did to Grifs paws! Austin talked to Braveheart about some protection. He teleported him to the relative safety of Mt. Grif Dog... And made Grif pee in a corner for territory's sake. The evening ended casually.

Yeah David I love this photo it looks like it was taken with a disposable camera from 1975 then developed at the local gas station, then rubbed in dirt, then ran over by a car, then left out in the ran, then scanned in and sent to me. Ride the Sky video Premiere

One of the stars of the evening, Josh Harmony and me shot by the illustrious Grant Brittain. Another ex-Toy rider sighting, Elissa Steamer lookin' tight. Ran into Ben Gilley who has received an interesting tattoo. I was hugged by a drunken Tommy Guns in a throng of sweaty skaters being pushed out by security... The master of the evening, Billy Marks, coming through with an EPIC part. My favorite parts to watch were Matt B and Josh H's, Slash's, and Chris Coles. But the stunner of the night was how good James Hardy is, and how amazing Billy Marks is. See MUCH MUCH better coverage of the evening over at Burnout by Mike Burnett... Ghetto Bank

Just released! : L. Kincade #14 Rob went all Sun God on a blunt. Blonds really do have more fun. He revitalized himself through meditation. Grant and Austin thought he was being weird. Never one to be left out, Grant got rad on the bank, too. The spot was lousy with rubbish. Poor Brian was made to ride in the trunk. I think Kincade needed some space from his creative juices. As you can see, the juices are flowing. Yeesh.. Some psycho child went and re-created Nick's part from Suffer the Joy in a video game... Creepy, but cool.

Diego Update

Butch has been resting up and keeping it real, watching the new Rambo movie on repeat. With that sort of motivation he'll be up and slashing in no time. He was amped when P-Stone and Noro came by for a visit after his surgery. In the meantime he'll be checking out his old Video Parts and Kincade 13.

X Games Wrap Party

Since nobody made the five person cut to the finals, today's post will highlight some of the finer shots by Mike Sinclair, TM extraordinaire. JLay with a cruntslide into 15th. And a lipslide for bonus. Nick gets smithy while a long lens crane gets the shot. Some bonus Nick: a Front Blunt, a Noseblunt, a 5-0 and a Back-Lip. Johnny and Billy made a pact to make the top 5 next year. Watch out, Nyjah. Heres Billy doing a KF Board... Nick sat back for some sage advice from X Games champ and former teammate Elissa Steamer. Maybe next year he'll take down Sheckler.

Foundation X-games coverage

Corey and Sierra have been at the X-games the past couple of days. Also Toy Machine's Johnny Layton. Duffel 50-50's a graffiti covered rail. Sierra kickflip backlip. Duffel nosegrinds. Both the guys suffered injuries and had to be checked out by the trainers.

X Games Day 2

Got picked up for the X Games. Had to check in my skate. Magic pointed the way to the ripping. He loves Billy. Billy was battling it out on the course. Hot as balls. If you look close you can see Nick frontside 360ing during his heat. This lady totally missed Appleyard's trick just so she could stare at her baby. After the street we all went in to scope the Big Air. D Way went down. It was actually a little boring, but a fine crew of people make it all worthwhile.
