Pig Wood Slaughterhouse premiere!!

The premiere up at La Paloma was awesome. Two capacity showings, on schedule! And a fully enthusiatic crowd. Overwhelmingly so! In fact, I was blown away by how much energy was expressed. I never limit the possibilities of what our riders and brand can do. Unlike a feature title like Good and Evil or That's Life, where known, sometimes really well known, riders are featured, Slaughterhouse is a video full of unknowns who still made the crowd go nuts. Each guy had parts that were definately unique as well as fricking gnarly shit and the crowd was over the top during and after every part. The team unity was clear and exciting. Josh did a great job pulling this together, big props go out to Josh and the Pig team for putting together a awesome "sleeper hit of the year!" video.

Luckily Donkey Punch was on hand with a digi cam and took some photos. Here's what may be the very limited photographic proof of the evening. Slideshows bitch.

Tum Yeto Go Skateboarding Day is coming up!

Go Skateboarding Day is coming up! June 21st is the date. For one day, Skateboarders take over the world! Imagine 20 million plus skateboarders riding at the same time. If skateboarders have their way, that will be the scene on the first day of summer: Go Skateboarding Day. Above all else, it's a day for skateboarders to skate. It's also an opportunity for those who have never been on a skateboard to grab a friend and join in. The grind heard around the world.

Toy Machine Toy Machine demo at Exit Real World.

"Despite the torrential rain, the demo went unbelievably well. I would say we had at least 500 kids hanging out at the shop. MAYHEM. Your guys signed everything from butts to geometry books and nobody was turned away. They signed autographs for about 2 hours before going to our local skatepark and skating our wet, shitty park for about 150 spectators, who were still around despite the demo being presumably "rained out."

About 20 minutes before the last autograph was signed, a few of the local skaters and one of our staff went over to squeegee, mop and blow dry the park. The kids really wanted to see some skateboarding--about 5 kids took their shirts off to dry a path to and from the pyramid! RELENTLESS FANS!!

Your guys eagerly obliged and skated for about 45 minutes, which was way more than I expected, given the circumstances. They are champs.

Thanks a ton... Hats off to Toy Machine."

Pig Wood Ragdoll Press Release.

For years, fans of Pig Wheels top quality urethane have been asking that we take our 15 years of experience and launch a Pig Wood team. We've been taking our time because we wanted to be sure that when it came together, our team included the most creative skateboarders out there.

And that's exactly what we've done.

Pig Wood is proud to announce Anthony “RAGDOLL” Scalamere as our first Pro. Originally from Las Vegas, Ragdoll now calls Los Angeles home. He represents the best of the new skaters who are out there building themselves into future heroes. Bringing skills and a flair that has often been imitated, but never matched, Ragdoll's presence is known in cities across the US. Ragdoll rides alongside the Pig Wood Ams Adrian Mallory, Charlie Castelluzzo, Lizard King, Sammy Baca, Shuriken Shannon and Slash.

This June, Pig Wood releases our first video, Slaughterhouse. What better way to celebrate the launch of the Pig Wood team? Slaughterhouse has it all. This group of amazing skateboarders lays it down on all terrain, bringing together the most slashing, creative, rippingest team in skateboarding. The team has worked hard and has gained respect from all who witness their talents. Slaughterhouse is what skateboarding is truly about: having fun, skating everything and anything and being yourself. Tune in and watch the chaos unfold.

About Pig Wood: Pig Wood was started in 2002 by skateboarding industry veteran Josh Beagle, as a natural progression from Pig Wheels. Pig Wood is distributed by Tum Yeto, Inc. The Pig Wood team today is Ragdoll, Adrian Mallory, Charlie Castelluzzo, Lizard King, Sammy Baca, Shuriken Shannon and Slash. About Tum Yeto: Tum Yeto, Inc and its brands have been industry leaders in performance, quality and reliability since 1990.
